Being lost in the Capitol is not very fun. I was sent to pick up a package from the Hart building on the Senate side of the Capitol, while I am on the house side in Longworth. I expected to get lost and I was not too worried about it, until I realized what kind of lost I was. I was a mouse in a maze. Normally I am pretty good with directions, and I can at least go back the way I came, but no, not today. I took turn after turn after turn and had no idea where I was going. I went from Longworth, to the Capitol and then to Hart. I am at least proud to say that I did eventually make it to my location and back safely within an hour.
The best part of the trip to the Hart building was the little metro underneath the Capitol. Its like the Capitol imitating a Disney theme park. The train had miniature compartments and outside the track there were statues, plaques and flags.
I bought tickets to the Spy museum, and I am excited to go this weekend with my roommates. Mostly I am just excited for another weekend, thank goodness its already Tuesday. I really feel like I am starting to understand what a real job is like. My days are over so quickly and I am so tired! So it is time for bed, goodnight! =]
