Friday was lots of fun. Work was pretty typical, but afterwards I went to a restaurant with Kelsey. We went to Gordon Biersch in downtown DC. She was meeting all of her old colleagues from the White House. I had a great time meeting new people and hearing good stories from their WH days. It was nice to get out in the city on a Friday- there was so much going on in Chinatown! Its like a mini-New York.
On Sunday I went out to the DC Improv club. I laughed sooo hard all night! I saw Harland Williams perform, and I am pretty sure he is literally insane. He was just off the wall. He would ask the audience questions and then make jokes based on their response, it was lots of fun and our table was even picked at one point. Even the opening act was great. I definitely want to go back- Ben Bailey is going to be there in a couple weeks. He is the guy from Cash Cab- I LOVE THAT SHOW!
Monday and Tuesday went pretty much the same for me. I was in Capitol tour training for most of the days. When I finally did get back to the office I was bombarded with calls about Health care. UGHHH. So I really have enjoyed being out of the office, seeing the Capitol and the artwork. Its beautiful! My favorite is the Apotheosis of Washington. Its at the very top of the Capitol Rotunda.
I have my first tour tomorrow so I will let you all know how it goes. =] Wish me luck!
