On Friday morning I had a White House Tour of the East Wing. I saw the East Room, the Red, Green and Blue rooms. All were so pretty and the artwork is so amazing. While we were inside, the snow began to fall so by the time I got back to my office, work was finished for the day so I got home around noon and started my lazy weekend.
The snow seemed to never end! Friday night it started to stick and by midnight I was already shocked at the foot of snow. In the morning it was still coming down fast so my roommates and I just hung around the house. We watched the entire season of Glee, Zombieland, and Angels and Demons. After hours in front of he TV we started to feel a little cabin fever so we went out to play in the snow. There was soo much of it!! I read that DC ended up with 33 inches. I will probably never see so much snow again.
For the Superbowl, my staff assistant invited me to her familys house. My roommate Lori and I jumped at the chance to get out of the Tech house and out of DC for the day. We ended up being stuck there for the night but it was okay since the congressional offices were closed today. I practically had a 4 day weekend! I am sure work will be open tomorrow but more snow is expected to fall Tuesday night- it sounds like another crazy weather week. I just hope that I am able to get to New York this weekend.
