Working is so different from school, it is taking some time to get used to being at work at 8:30 and getting off at 5 or 6. I get in the office before everyone else and make sure to get everything in order. I turn on the lights, sort some mail, organize the newspapers, and start coffee. I make coffee 3 to 4 times a day, my office basically breathes coffee or some kind of caffeine. I am also occasionally asked to bake cookies and cinnamon rolls! It is a very relaxed office and I really enjoy my time there. Everyone is super helpful and jokes around most of the time.
Yesterday was Saturday so my roommates Abby and Lori and I decided to go out to see the city. We walked around the Holocaust Museum. Although it was extremely sad, the museum was still very interesting with tons of information and things from that time. By the end of the museum, we were very depressed and ready to leave. To cheer ourselves up we went shopping after!! =] We even saw a red carpet event in Downtown. It was for a BET awards show but we didn't stick around to see anyone famous.
Today is a rainy Sunday. The tech house roommates had hopes of going to Mt. Vernon, but those plans will have to wait! I am so glad tomorrow is MLK day and I can sleep in. I will try to update this as much as possible since so much is going on and I feel like I have no time to stop. If anyone would like to mail something to me my address here is
