Jaleos and Texas State Society

I have recently had 2 free meals and I am pretty sure that I could get use to this. Tuesday night the Texas Tech Interns were invited out to a place called Jaleo. It serves delicious tapas! I was treated to a 3 course meal and a dessert. Mmmmm, delicious, chicken fritters, cheese, steak, chicken, trout, spanish, and flan ( and those are just the dishes I can remember... we had 13 I think). It was a lot of fun to try new foods and to be out in the city, downtown is so exciting and alive.

This is Emily, Abby, Juliet and I at Jaleos.

Tonight there is the State of the Union address so Capitol Hill was very busy. I am just a lowly intern though, so clearly I will just be sitting at home on my couch watching. The Texas State Society hosted a reception tonight too, which was another free meal for me! I ate lots of little appetizers and filled up on chips and dip and cookies. YUM! Another great night in DC.

Friday is approaching fast, I can't wait for the weekend!
